The highlight of a misty and rather moist day didn't come until the late afternoon, when brief glimpses of a bird in the Plantation gave way to a male Red-breasted Flycatcher. This rather shy individual showed very briefly, although well at times, and managed to avoid the open mist nets.
In other news, the Common Rosefinch remained in the field near Ty Capel, and a handful of Goldcrests and Chiffchaffs were also seen.
