There were a few new arrivals on a calm and sunny day. Visible migration in the morning consisted of over 170 Meadow Pipits, a Skylark, 50 alba Wagtails, two Grey Wagtails and a Lapland Bunting. The Common Rosefinch was present for its third day, and was trapped in the afternoon. A small arrival of Goldcrests saw 32 birds scattered around the island, along with a Blackcap.

The juvenile Common Rosefinch was trapped near Ty Capel this afternoon
Wheatears continue to move through the island in small numbers

  1. The Common Rosefinch looks like an amazing bird, still wish to catch up with one, one day.
