Despite the improved weather i.e. the lack of fog, it was a very quiet day. A small number of migrants were recorded, foremost waders were highlighted with 11 Whimbrels and a Common Sandpiper. A Swift, 56 Swallows, 12 House Martins and a Tree Pipit made up a slow day of overhead passage, whilst on the land a trickle of migrant passerines were to be seen including a Grasshopper Warbler, a Whitethroat, two Blackcaps, 11 Chiffchaffs, three Willow Warblers, a Goldcrest and a Lesser Redpoll.
