Again, as usual the Narrows held most of the action some 13 Curlews, nine Redshanks and 20 Turnstones were recorded a little down on recent numbers, but still a good scattering of waders. Out to sea three Sandwich Terns were the pick of the bunch, but little else was noted passing by. The Great Spotted Woodpecker continued its stay on the island. Otherwise other passerine numbers were largely new in. Swallows numbered 25 a small but noticeable increase. A Grey Wagtail was heard overhead and 12 White Wagtails adorned the beach. A Whinchat was again present, whilst Warblers recorded today included one Blackcap, five Chiffchaffs, 13 Willow Warblers and 15 Goldcrests. Three Spotted Flycatchers were also present today as was a flock of 31 Linnets.
