Starting at Cristin, the day was much quieter, with far less Chiffchaffs singing and calling from the trees. Peacock butterflies have been seen on the island in the last few days and several were recorded today. The highlight of the day was the first House Martin of the year, which was seen at Ty Pellaf in the early afternoon. Little Owls were calling from the mountainside throughout the day as well. A lower count of Wheatears today, with two on the Narrows.

A brief ringing session at Cristin produced Chiffchaffs and Goldcrests in small numbers. However, inside the Lodge the dining room is now getting ready to be painted and work will continue on the rest of the accommodation over the next few weeks.
