A calm and sunny day on Bardsey today with the highlights being two male Ring Ouzels on the mountain and a Red-breasted Merganser past West Coast.

A high count of 22 Wheatears were around, predominantly at South End and the Narrows, and Willow Warblers, Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs are still in good numbers with roughly 15-20 of each.

An afternoon ringing session yielded Blackcaps, Robins, Chiffchaffs, Willow Warblers, Dunnocks and a Barn Swallow which was ringed as a chick on Bardsey in 2017!
