Today was a glorious day with clear blue skys and a light NNW wind giving a chill to the air.

Birds were thin on the ground today out and about, totals included 21 Willow Warblers, 15 Chiffchaffs, 8 Blackcap, 15 Linnets, 7 Goldfinch, a single Siskin, 4 Chaffinch, 15 Wheatear, 9 Swallow and a male Sparrowhawk all recorded from the Narrows to the Plantation at Nant.

The calm weather allowed the nets at the observatory to be opened for a good 6 hours. 35 birds were caught with the majority being Chiffchaffs, Willow Warblers and Blackcaps with a Goldfinch, Chaffinch and Goldcrest thrown in for good measure.
