In bird news numbers were down, Wheatears were reduced to just over double figures and Willow Warblers were in high numbers around the observatory and Nant with 90 in these locations but they were scarce elsewhere. Blackcaps were also down with only 9 at Nant and 6 at the observatory.
The bird of the day was a male Reed Bunting seen in the Withys, the first of the year.
