It was the calmest day there has been for a little while, but still a bit too windy to mist net. Instead a couple of the Observatory staff went to Nant to check the roost sight of a
Barn Owl that had been sighted a month earlier and then again last week. It was roosting in a box with a large entrance, and so after putting a net over that entrance and opening the back door to see that there was an owl in there, it tried to escape and flew into the net.
