Today was a pretty good day weather wise. Clouds moved over the island in the south westerly breeze as if someone was holding down the fast forward button giving some stunning views and it stayed dry.

Birds on the other hand were not so much of note. The most notable things seen were a Firecrest at Nant, and two Whimbrel on the narrows, a bird normally prominent here but one hasn't been heard or seen for a few days now.  finches again were present but in small numbers with seven Goldfinches, 12 Siskins and 20 Chaffinches.

Other birds included 19 Goldcrests, four Redwing, three Song Thrush, 14 Robin, eight Skylarks, 40 Black-headed Gulls, 32 Turnstones, eight Redshanks, two Whimbrel, singles of Buzzard and Peregrine, and two Common Scoter.
