It was windier today, gusting at 28mph from the south-west. It was a mixed bag with occasional blue skies and occasional rain showers. Finch passage had quietened down, with Goldfinches at their lowest numbers for a couple of weeks, just 39 recorded, fewer Linnets and Siskins were recorded too.

The main thing to mention was the arrival of Yellow-browed Warblers, at least three were present on the island which is the highest count of the year, two of them were seen simultaneously from the Obs!

Seawatching didn't produce much today, but of note were 20 Mediterranean Gulls that flew south with 39 Black-headed Gulls.

A Great Spotted Woodpecker was seen today, in the Obs garden and on a fence post at Ty Pellaf too, we get a few records of these woodpeckers every year, the other two species are incredibly rare to non-existent.
