A brief patch of fog in the morning cleared into another calm and bright day. In the morning Stuart and Ed opened the mist nets in the Observatory garden. The majority of the birds were newly fledged youngsters including Wrens, Blackbirds and Dunnocks . A male Stonechat and two Lesser Redpolls provided some variation. The new observatory guests enjoyed a small ringing demonstration and opening the moth trap.
