There was a change of weather today, the clouds rolled over much of north Wales and Bardsey was no exception. Although it wasn't heavy, the rain did last for most of the day making birding less productive than previous days.

The biggest change in migrants were 21 Starlings that were seen in the North West Fields, a scan through them, unfortunately, didn't reveal any Rose-coloured Starlings... Curlew numbers dropped off after yesterday's large flock and just two were recorded today, roosting on Carreg yr Henwy. Three Redshanks were once again present on the rocks surrounding the Narrows, this species is becoming a regular feature on the day lists lately.

Many species were still heard singing around the island, for instance, a Song Thrush usually starts at 4:30 each morning and is quite an effective alarm clock for all staying at the obs. Siskins were heard calling in the garden today, just as they were yesterday. There were at least four, but they were not easy to see, so gauging numbers was not easy.

Birds today: one Gannet, one Grey Heron, one Ringed Plover (still on eggs), two Curlews, three Redshanks, six Collared Doves, 21 Starlings, four Siskins, and one Lesser Redpoll.
