Storm Evert hit Bardsey overnight and continued in the morning. Megan and Stuart waited until 9am before leaving the LSA hut on the South End. It was still showering and windy until mid-afternoon when it dried up enough to go for a walk around the West Coast and Nant.

The heavy winds brought in a few birds overnight with Stuart seeing three juvenile Mediterranean Gulls at the South End as well as a Swift and a Knot. A Sandwich Tern was in Henllwyn first thing and a Buzzard flew over Nant in the late afternoon.

There was again no moths this morning but the weather is looking to settle next week so we can return to the normal routine.

The House Martin chicks at the Obs are growing fast. The adults are feeding every 5 minutes and becoming increasingly bold, often flying in and out whilst someone walks past the doorway.
