Today was another hot one with temperatures over 18oC. Sam left this morning for a few weeks off the island. We also welcomed our new guests for the week.

The morning census was quiet but produced the a scruffy adult Willow Warbler in the Observatory garden and two Redshanks on Henllwyn. The sky is also beginning to be loud with Swallows as they fledge across the island. Juveniles will hang around with their parents before heading off to Africa together.

Birds today: one Grey Heron, one Curlew, one Sanderling, two Redshanks, one Willow Warbler, one Chaffinch, three Goldfinches
