The morning started with cloudy skies, but brightened up to give us yet another sun-filled day. The birds also seemed to be enjoying the weather, as nine Black Redstarts were seen, and the first Willow Warbler of the year was trapped and ringed at Cristin. The first Kestrel, Jackdaw and Rook of the year were recorded today. Other highlights were a Sparrowhawk at the South End, nine Wheatears, a Brambling still, 56 Linnets, six Siskins and three Lesser Redpolls.
There was a small arrival of Goldcrests and Chiffchaffs, with 24 and 16 in total respectively.
