 The day started with heavy rain which cleared late morning; this resulted in a fall of migrants across the island. Highlights included a male Common Redstart at Nant and a male Ring Ouzel on the Mountain. Other totals were two Whimbrels, a Sandwich Tern, 126 Blackcaps (68.6% males), 126 Willow Warblers, 44 Chiffchaffs, 40 Swallows, 29 House Martins, 17 Sand Martins, 42 Wheatears and 16 White Wagtails!

Other birds seen today included a Merlin, a Grey Heron, 30 Purple Sandpipers, 10 Redshank, three Curlew, 44 Pied Wagtails, 19 Blackbirds, five Siskins, 107 Goldfinches and 165 Linnets.
