There was limited movement of note today on the Island but a range of species were still about. The Golden Oriole was heard singing again in the Withies, the same Black Redstart was seen again at Nant, where the Siberian Chiffchaff and Cuckoo were still singing away.

Other bird highlights of the day was a Grey Heron, three Swifts, four Collared Doves, a Curlew, 15 Swallows and 11 House Martins,

Off the Island, the Observatory held its AGM, and Bruce Kendrick gave a talk about his life as a birder and his new book, An Eye for Birds.
