Light winds and golden sunshine made for a small amount of bird movement, most notably seeing the first Grasshopper Warbler of the autumn - a fresh juvenile too. A Kestrel was seen hovering above Cristin, a Common Sandpiper was at Solfach, and six Swifts and five Starlings passed through the Island.

It was a good day for non-avian species, especially Lepidoptera, as the rising temperatures are bringing more of them out. 23 Meadow Browns, a Peacock, a Small Tortoiseshell and a Small Copper were all seen across the Island. The moth trap also faired well, with 162 of 33 species, including Swallowtail moth and Drinker. Three By-the-wind Sailors were also spotted in Henllwyn.
