It was another day of hammering south-westerlies that brought prolonged showers along with it. Between gaps in the rain and the seemingly everlasting mizzle offshore, bursts of seawatching produced 25 Razorbills, 24 Kittiwakes, two Common Scoters, five Gannets, and a single Manx Shearwater. The weather cleared somewhat in the afternoon but it was almost quieter bird-wise on terra firma than at sea as the only species of note that were recorded included 10 Goldcrests, a Chiffchaff, five Blackbirds, 30 Turnstones, 30 Curlews, a Peregrine Falcon, and 16 Oystercatchers.
