It was mostly clear and bright today with moderate winds blowing through. Nant, however, remained sheltered enough to open the nets. As we were opening up, a Red-breasted Flycatcher was seen before it went into a net! This bird was different to the one seen a couple days ago when comparing photos.

There was also a small amount of overhead movement across the Island with 245 Starlings, 167 Chaffinches, six Siskins, a Reed Bunting, seven Skylarks, 58 Meadow Pipits all recorded, mostly from the South End.
At Cristin, new water tanks were installed in the courtyard so that hopefully next year water shortages will be a thing of the past! During the process, we saw two Palmate Newts!
