Moderate south-westerlies in the morning allowed for some seawatching before the winds picked up and produced un-birdable conditions. The second Grey Phalarope of the year was sighted, alongside a Fulmar, five Manx Shearwaters, 95 Gannets, 69 Common Scoters, seven Mediterranean Gulls, a Black-headed Gull, 390 Kittiwakes, eight Guillemots, and 360 Razorbills.

The other highlight of the day was a Barn Owl spotted hunting in the Wetlands this evening. Elsewhere there were two Sparrowhawks, two Merlins, three Purple Sandpipers, a Snipe, a Whimbrel, 55 Curlews, five Chiffchaffs, six Goldcrests, 10 Goldfinches, and nine Linnets. Overhead passage was very quiet too with nine Skylarks, 28 Meadow Pipits, a Grey Wagtail, two Alba wagtails, and a Lesser Redpoll logged this morning.
In the evening, Ed went out dazzling in the Wetlands and the Narrows, and caught a Redshank and two Magpies!
