The winds continued their steady blow from the East today, though there was little arrival or turnover of migrant species. Avian highlights included a Whinchat, a Reed Warbler singing at Cristin, a Garden Warbler doing the same thing, eight Blackcaps, four Chiffchaffs, seven Willow Warblers, 10 Spotted Flycatchers, two Sanderlings, two Dunlins, a Whimbrel, a Collared Dove, a Siskin, and five Lesser Redpolls.

The last visit of the penultimate round of Breeding Bird Surveys was carried out today, which showed a good number of Meadow Pipits and Stonechats holding territory on the Mountain (mostly in the gorse). In the afternoon, further Manx Shearwater census work also carried out, alongside the first Swallows and Pied Wagtails survey, with nine and four pairs logged respectively.
