There was a slight breeze, starting in the north and switching to the south in the afternoon, and fog smothered the island for much of the day with scattered light rain showers.

Despite the early northerly winds, birds were still arriving. Two Red Kites drifted high over the Island before being seen off by the Carrion Crows. The first Spotted Flycatchers of the year were recorded, with one at Ty Pellaf and two in the garden at Cristin, one of which was ringed.

There was a small passage of hirundines, with three Sand Martins, ten Swallows and four House Martins around the Island. Warbler totals came to five Sedge Warblers, seven Whitethroats, four Garden Warblers, three Blackcaps, eight Chiffchaffs, 18 Willow Warblers and two Goldcrests, as well as a reeling Grasshopper Warbler in the Wetlands and the first reed Reed Warbler of the year was in Plas Withy. Also, a Lesser Redpoll flew south over Nant, and a total of 35 Whimbrels and 22 Wheatears were recorded.

Other birds included a Feral Pigeon at Pen Cristin, the pair of Gadwall remaining on Pwll Cain, and the male Cuckoo seen again around Nant.

A short sunny spell warmed the air enough for a few butterflies to be on the wing, with a couple of Green-veined Whites around the island, as well as a Small Tortoiseshell in the Wetlands and a Red Admiral on Pen Cristin. A Hummingbird Hawkmoth was also seen in the Wetlands.
