Amidst the trapping of Manx Shearwaters during the night, a Green Sandpiper was heard over the south end; only the second record for the year. The wind was again strong from the north-west, although there were not as many common seabirds passing by, highlights from the morning included: 14 Common Scoters, 3 Black-headed Gulls, 23 Sandwich Terns, a Common Tern, a ‘Commic’ Tern, a Great Skua and an Arctic Skua. A Collared Dove at Ty Nesaf and two Spotted Flycatchers in Cristin Withy were the only passerines of note seen.

A Cabbage Moth was caught in Ty Pellaf garden today. The last record for the island was of an individual trapped by Plas Withy in July 1999.
