Tuesday 8 November 2011

Five Brent Geese, a Pomarine Skua, three Short-eared Owls and nine Woodcocks were the highlights of a rather dull, overcast day. Fewer thrushes were present in comparison to yesterday, with counts including 26 Blackbirds, seven Fieldfares, six Song Thrushes and eight Redwings. A Jack Snipe and two Snipe were seen in the wetlands during the day, whilst two Lapwings and a Merlin were around the coast; two Blackcaps and six Chiffchaffs were in the island's gardens.
