The temperature dropped further today with the first signs of frost for a while. A rousing wind picked up throughout the day too though the sun continued to beat down on the island. Two Black Redstarts, one at Ty Pellaf and the other at Cristin put on good shows, as did the over-wintering Firecrest around Nant well.

A pair of Teal on Pwll Cain were new in today and a Common Gull on the East Side was noteworthy.  A brace of Buzzards continue to hunt the island along side a lone Merlin who favours the South End most. A few more assorted migrants were logged such as one Snipe, six Redshanks, one Turnstone, one Skylark, 101 Meadow Pipits, two Grey Wagtails, 18 Robins, one Fieldfare, three Redwings, three Chiffchaffs, eight Goldcrests, two Rooks, seven Starlings, one Greenfinch, 176 Linnets, and one Reed Bunting.
Fresh Peregrine kill on the east side, Manx Shearwater
