The weather has been very difficult to forecast recently. It seems we have left Summer behind completely and it has been overcast for a few weeks now. The predicted calm winds have not materialised, however Louis and Steve were able to open the nets in the Obs garden and caught an unexpected Grasshopper Warbler. In addition singles were seen at the South End and at Nant.

The moth trap is slowly picking up again with 51 moths of 14 species including the first Rhomboid Tortrix of the year and a nice Brimstone Moth

The overnight cloud meant a few new waders dropped in including a juvenile Sanderling, Dunlin, three Common Sandpipers and 27 Turnstones. During a short seawatching session Steve saw an adult Roseate Tern fly past with three Sandwich Terns.
