Last night was spent ringing Manx Shearwaters this time on the South End for the first time this year. Though there was light cloud cover the full moon still broke through at times and resulted in lower Manxie activity. That said around 45 birds were ringed along with 15 retraps including three ringed before 2000! Alongside this a juvenile Wheatear was caught on the track to the lighthouse and became only the second Wheatear to be caught this year.

The day started with Moth Morning, this was reassembly productive with 35 species including the 2nd Island record of Dark Spinach and a high count of nine Buff Arches. This was followed by a guided wildlife walk; the highlights of the walk included good views of Puffins, the juvenile Marsh Harrier and good views of a Chough family.
