A northerly wind at F4 held throughout the day, with a sea state of two and very good visibility. No precipitation fell, and the temperature reached 22 °C.

Eight Common Dolphins were offshore along the West Coast.

A major arrival of Painted Ladies with 663 counted from just a couple of locations across the island, the true number is likely to be far greater, 300 alone were counted from a Thrift bank on the South End. 48 Red Admirals were also sighted with the clouds of Painted Ladies. The large arrival wasn’t limited to Butterflies with a lot of migratory moths also seen, 228 Silver Ys were counted with 172 on the East Side along with 15 Diamond‑back Moths. A female Broad-bodied Chaser was spotted by Bethany at Cristin; there are very few records from the island, all from 2016 and likely made up from a handful of individuals, making this a very noteworthy record.

One Grey Heron was in the Wetlands. A Hobby was seen in Cristin garden eating a Meadow Pipit early morning before flying South. A Kestrel was hovering over the Wetlands in the afternoon.

The only waders of note were two Whimbrels, one along the West Coast and another on the Narrows.

A Reed Warbler was trapped in the Withies along with a Sedge Warbler. The warbler totals were: eight Sedge Warblers, two Whitethroats, five Chiffchaffs and a Willow Warbler. Four Spotted Flycatchers were recorded with one trapped at Cristin.

Three Lesser Redpolls and a Siskin were recorded, along with a Goldfinch and 26 Linnets.
