Finally the winds abated and a much better day saw a small amount of visible migration also taken place. The first two Yellow-browed Warblers of the year were found in the New Plantation and Cristin respectively. A good passage of Goldcrests saw over 189 birds moving through the island during the day, whilst a Greater-spotted Woodpecker, three Song Thrushes,  two Garden Warblers, six Blackcaps, four Chiffchaffs and a Pied Flycatcher were seen in the island's gardens and withies. Overhead passage in the morning included 21 Skylarks, five Sand Martins, 37 House Martins, 61 Swallows, 232 Meadow Pipits, nine Grey Wagtails115 Chaffinches.

 Almost 120 Goldcrests were trapped during the day
