The incredibly quiet spell continues, with very little to report on either day. A
Gannet, six
Shelducks and a
Ringed Plover were seen around the Narrows in the morning on the 12th, and a
Sparrowhawk was seen at Cristin. Six
Song Thrushes inland was an increase on recent days, whilst the
Firecrest was present at Nant. On the 13th, a flock of 23
Purple Sandpipers around the Narrows and a pair of
Teals here were the only notable birds seen.
The Firecrest remains amongst the over-wintering Goldcrests
The Purple Sandpiper flock roosted near Solfach, sheltering against the miserable weather on the 13th
Lesser Black-backed Gull numbers on the island are slowly increasing
