With spring-like weather on both days, many birds burst into song:
Meadow and
Rock Pipits began their song-flights,
Goldcrests and the male
Firecrest were singing around the plantation and many other birds also started. There was still very little of any consequence to note, however, in this pre-spring lull. On the 14th, singles of
Ringed Plover,
Snipe and
Water Rail were recorded. On the 15th, three
Linnets were seen in the hay fields, and three
Woodpigeons were seen at Nant.
