18th to 19th February

Another very quiet few days saw the beautiful weather continuing. The highlights of the 18th included five Skylarks around the coast, a Whimbrel on the south end, two Little Owls on Pencristin and the Firecrest at Nant. Singles of Sparrowhawk, Little Owl, Skylark, Redwing and Linnet were seen around the North end and mountainside on the morning of the 19th, whilst 11 Goldcrests were seen from Nant to Cristin.

Two pairs of Little Owls are currently breeding on Bardsey- one above Plas and one on Pencristin. Both of these pairs were seen in the last few days
 Whimbrel
Meadow Pipit (top) and Skylark (bottom)
Wrens are currently making up the bulk of the morning bird chorus, with over 50 seen this morning
