In the Wetlands the two Teal were still present, as was the Merlin. A Water Rail was once again heard squealing from the Withies. Some variety on the wader front consisted of three Ringed Plovers, one Lapwing, one Dunlin, six Snipes, two Whimbrels, 65 Curlews, 13 Redshanks and five Turnstones. The effects were even noticeable out to sea, as the species moving through changed to gulls including 19 Mediterranean Gulls, 130 Black-headed Gulls, 125 Kittiwakes and six Sandwich Terns were the only other species of note out to sea.
Two island scarcities were a Stock Dove and a Great Spotted Woodpecker which were both present. A sizable movement overhead with some incredible diversity resulted in 197 Skylarks, two Swallows, 513 Meadow Pipits, 17 Grey Wagtails, 24 Pied Wagtails, 21 White Wagtails, 15 ‘alba’ Wagtails, 15 Magpie, 17 Chough, five Jackdaw, 38 Rooks, 31 Carrion Crow, six Raven, two Starlings, 14 Chaffinches, 13 Siskins, 138 Goldfinches, 106 Linnets, four Lesser Redpolls, one Yellowhammer and a Reed Bunting being recorded! On the land, some other migrants made landfall Dunnocks had increased again as had Robins with 20 and 41 birds recorded respectively. Six Song Thrushes and a Mistle Thrush were also new arrivals, as were the small selection of warblers two Blackcaps, 11 Chiffchaffs, one Willow Warbler and 24 Goldcrests. A Spotted Flycatcher was the only other bird of note.

Todays sightings were not exclusively avian based, a pod of eight Risso's Dolphins was seen off the North End of the island and another smaller group of four made their way along the West Coast
