Another beautifully calm day on the island today. The moth in the morning yielded: a
Scarce Footman,
True Lover's Knot,
Garden Tiger and this
Early Thorn...

Some migration action came today in the form of a
Snipe down in the Wetlands as well as more
Curlews hugging the coastline. There were also more
Swallows around today, about 25 were circling the Observatory and two were caught, one a re-trapped bird that was ringed last year as a chick at Ty Pellaf. More Juveniles around today including
Wrens,
Carrion Crows,
Sedge Warblers and
Wheatears.

Other birds today include: one Cuckoo, one Little Owl, one Whimbrel, one Buzzard, one Peregrine and eight Choughs.
