Today the weather started cold compared to the last few days and there was even rain for an hour or so.

The Lesser Whitethroat was around nant today along with some young Common Whitethroats that have bred on the island. Also at the plantation an adult Chiffchaff was feeding its young as was a Stonechat. Further south in the withys a family of Sedge Warblers were feeding, four juveniles were seen with a pair of adults. On Solfach beach there were a hand full of juvnile Wheatears, four of which were caught in spring traps, along with a hand full of young Rock Pipits. Also in terms of early migrants there were ten Curlew, two Whimbrel, a Common Sandpiper and a Redshank.
