Another scorcher! Air temperature in the 20s, and with the sun hammering down it certainly felt much hotter than that!

Start of the day on Bardsey
The moths traps did very well the previous night catching well over 100 moths including some nice ones such as Sharks, Peach Blossoms, Buff-tips and Garden Tigers.
Shark

Peach Blossom

Garden Tiger
Buff-tip (the one above!)
Birds around to day include more juvenile Wheatears on the Narrows, this seems to be a preferred feeding spot where they can go between the two beaches and there are at least 15 young birds around with quite a number having been ringed. Also around was a Grey Heron, 10 Choughs, 3 Chiffchaffs, one Lesser Whitethroat, 6 Rock Pipits and a juvenile Blackbird that was caught in the Observatory kitchen of all places, after hopping in through the back door..
