Another scorcher! Air temperature in the 20s, and with the sun hammering down it certainly felt much hotter than that!

Start of the day on Bardsey |
The moths traps did very well the previous night catching well over 100 moths including some nice ones such as
Sharks,
Peach Blossoms,
Buff-tips and
Garden Tigers.

Birds around to day include more juvenile
Wheatears on the Narrows, this seems to be a preferred feeding spot where they can go between the two beaches and there are at least 15 young birds around with quite a number having been ringed. Also around was a
Grey Heron, 10
Choughs, 3
Chiffchaffs, one
Lesser Whitethroat, 6
Rock Pipits and a juvenile
Blackbird that was caught in the Observatory kitchen of all places, after hopping in through the back door..
