The last post!

What is probably going too be the final post of 2021. Not a classic year for migration or rarities, but Red-eyed Vireo in October was the obvious stand out bird.

Today saw some great passage early morning, and just the withies and solfach along with the Obs were covered as we prepared to leave the island. Over 1000 Chaffinches, along with 37 Bramblings, were seen. A Richard’s Pipit, Woodlark, Hawfinch all flew south. At least 1850 Starlings buzzed the narrows. Two Siberian Chiffchaff,s one at the Obs and one in Las Withy were seen and a Water Pipit was with Rock Pipits on the beach at Solfach... What an end to the season!
