We woke to dense fog across the Island which remained for most of day, before finally clearing just before dusk. This made bird census difficult however, 27 Purple Sandpipers were on the Narrows, a Sand Martin flew through the Wetlands, a White Wagtail was still on Solfach, eight Snipe were flushed from the Wetlands along with a further two on the South End, the female Great Spotted Woodpecker was retrapped at Cristin and 152 Manx Shearwaters were seen at dusk off the West Coast once the fog cleared.

Other bird included 14 Teal, a Grey Heron, a Sparrowhawk, seven Wheatears, 12 Chiffchaffs, two Willow Warblers, seven Goldcrests, a Chaffinch and three Siskin

A quick look around the foreshore at low tide revealed a range of marine life including a Butterfish!

There was no sign of 'Margaret' the Cattle Egret amongst the sheep! The question on everyone's mind: 'is Margaret still here?'
