The calm spell continued today, and saw some further trickles of migration. Swifts screeched their way south as they moved through the Island's airspace, with eight logged in total. On the Narrows, there were nine Curlews, a Redshank, and three Common Sandpipers

Later in the afternoon, we went on a boat trip around the East Side to carry out one of the final seabird counts of the season. Almost all the Razorbills and Guillemots have left the cliffs, but there are still a fair few Puffins on our shores (40 logged), alongside good numbers of Kittiwakes. The majority of the young are close to fledging size now, and will be leaving for the sea in the next few weeks!

To round the day off, we had a game of Island footy with many guests getting involved!
