Today saw clearer skies but still a strong westerly wind. The bird highlight of the day were three Mute Swans that flew south along the West Coast; these are only the 12th island record!! Elsewhere, a Reed Warbler was in the Withies and 176 Linnets was a good count.
The portable Helgoland was again tried today with great success of 34 Meadow Pipits and two Rock Pipits however, the highlight was a young female Sparrowhawk, the first of the year!
