A light northerly allowed the nets to be opened at Cristin during the morning. Ringing was very slow with a single Willow Warbler the only migrant caught before 10:00. However, things picked up with nine Willow Warblers caught between 10:00-11:30 as well as two Spotted Flycatchers seen in the garden. Elsewhere, a Collared Dove was around Plas and during the evening a small Common Scoter passage saw 31 go south in three flocks.
Other birds of note included a Grey Heron, a Sparrowhawk, two Kestrels, a Ringed Plover, two Dunlins, a Whimbrel, 20 Curlews, two Redshanks, 18 Turnstones, a Common Sandpiper, two Black-headed Gulls, 34 Swallows, 26 House Martins, a Chiffchaff and a Blackcap.
