There was a chilly northerly breeze today which kept the temperature down, but the sun was still out with no clouds in the sky. In the late morning a group of ringers from the Observatory went down to the narrows with a set of spring traps in an attempt to catch Rock Pipits and Wheatears. One
Rock Pipit was caught and colour ringed and so were three
Wheatears. However the tide then went out and the birds became more distributed, and so the team headed off to the East Side to ring yet more seabirds.

In total around 10 more

Shag chicks, which were darvic ringed too.
