There were more northerlies today blowing at a fairly constant 15mph throughout the day. There was some more wader passage with a month high of four Common Sandpipers on the Narrows.

There was some change in the obs garden with Siskins and Lesser Redpolls heard flying over and within the trees, as well as an adult Cuckoo that was seen in the sycamore.

Up at Nant there were some juvenile Goldfinches, presumably from Bardsey broods. There was a Blackcap and a Chiffchaff singing in the plantation too which hints towards more breeding for these warbler species.

Despite being a cooler night than last night, the moth trap yielded a Peach Blossom, Lackeys and Mottled Beauties.

Lackey and Peach Blossom

Birds today: two Gannets, one Grey Heron, two Curlews, four Common Sandpipers, five Collared Doves, one Cuckoo, three Robins, 200 Starlings, six Siskins and eight Lesser Redpolls.
