Today we said farewell to the students from Bangor Bird Watching Society. We would again like to thank the BTO, Bangor Bird Group and Cameron Bespolka Trust for helping to fund the trip and all the students for making it such a success.

Ringing at Cristin first thing produced a Grasshopper Warbler, a Whitethroat, 34 Blackcaps, 32 Willow Warblers, two Chiffchaffs, five Goldfinches and a Goldcrest. During ringing two Tree Pipits flew over north. A Redstart was still around Ty Pellaf and a Pied Flycatcher was at Carrag.

During the afternoon the nets were opened at Nant and caught a further 30 Blackcaps, 42 Willow Warblers (one control), six Chiffchaffs, a Sedge Warbler and two Goldcrests. A Cuckoo was also present at Nant.

Other totals for the day were a Red-throated Diver, a Kestrel, a Buzzard, nine Whimbrels, eight Sand Martins, 13 House Martins, 23 Wheatears, four Whitethroats, 125 Blackcaps, seven Grasshopper Warblers, 14 Chiffchaffs, 120 Willow Warblers, six Goldcrests, four Sedge Warblers, two Rooks and a Lesser Redpoll
