A calm and sunny day on the Island saw the first movement of Swift with five heading north alongside 20 House Martins and a Sand Martin. A Skylark around Pen Cristin was a surprise and the first for some weeks.

The afternoon was spent counting Gull eggs around the East Side of the Mountain as well as the first Auk egg counts of the year at Bae Felan.

Also recorded today were two Whimbrels, a Curlew, 24 Turnstones, 24 Swallows, 16 Wheatears, six Sedge Warblers, three Whitethroats, two Blackcaps, two Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler, two Spotted Flycatchers, a Siskin and seven Lesser Redpolls.
