Another quieter day for migrants across the Island, however the nets were opened in the afternoon, and a surprise Lesser Whitethroat was trapped and ringed. A Magpie was also caught in the Heligoland trap, alongside two Chiffchaffs, a Blackcap, two Stonechats and a Linnet.

Some wader passage was noted with 11 Curlews, a Common Sandpiper, and a Feral Pigeon. The Grasshopper Warbler was heard reeling again. Linnet numbers are starting to build up too, with 25 sighted across the Island.
A guided wildlife walk was led today, showing guests a range of birds, plants and invertebrates across the Island. Green Tiger Beetles were showing nicely with five seen in total.
