The grim weather strikes back! Strong south-westerlies and sideways rain dominated the majority of the day, which resulted with very few birds being sighted. On the Narrows, the Shelduck brood was still going strong with all seven chicks still present. Wader-wise, a Whimbrel, three Curlews, a Ringed Plover and 39 Oystercatchers were all recorded. Elsewhere, the resident Song Thrush in the Wetlands piped up with its distinctive song for the first time in a fortnight.
